Summary

freedom-emulator does not collect, sell, share, track, or transmit personal data. The app is designed to run locally on your device.

Data stored on your device

The app stores imported games, save files, save states, cover art, settings, optional BIOS or firmware files, and local diagnostic logs in its iOS app container. These files remain on your device unless you choose to export, delete, back up, or share them using iOS features.

Microphone

The app may request microphone access for Nintendo DS games that use microphone input. Microphone audio is used only locally for gameplay and is not recorded, uploaded, or shared by freedom-emulator.

Diagnostics

The app may keep a local crash log to help diagnose problems. This log is stored locally and is not automatically sent anywhere. If you contact support, you may choose whether to share diagnostic details.

Third parties

The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or third-party account login. It uses open-source emulation cores inside the app binary.

Children's privacy

freedom-emulator does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
